AltaVista ( http://altavista.digital.com ) has finally gotten their mitts on the AltaVista domain name ( http://www.altavista.com , natch.) According to the press release, "ATI will transfer to Compaq the altavista.com URL within 30 days and notify all third parties of the change to its Internet address".
