The Abraham Lincoln Papers at LOC
When I mentioned the other LOC collection a couple days ago, a few people wrote in to let me know I missed one -- the new Abraham Lincoln Papers collection at the LOC: http://memory.loc.gov/ ammem/alhtml/malhome.html . This is the first release of the Complete Abraham Lincoln Papers at the Library of Congress. This, the first release, consists of 2,200 annotated documents, which are browsable by time period or searchable by keyword. When you get a search result you'll be seeing an image of the correspondence, often complete with 100+ year old spidery handwriting. Look for the text link that says "transcription" and you'll save a lot of eye power.
