Hey! A Google Special Syntax I Knew Nothing About!
Woo! Reader MJ clued me into the site: syntax on Google, which works
like the host: syntax on AltaVista, looks like. Try the query
google site:researchbuzz.com
And you'll get results for Google that are on ResearchBuzz.com. (Sixteen
of 'em! Yikes.) You can also exclude domains by using the query like
this:
google -site:researchbuzz.com
And.. could it be... can you get the site: syntax to work like the
domain syntax??! LOOKS LIKE A YES .. YES? ... well, maybe not. Here's
my little experiment. google -- 332,000 results
google site:org -- 1,800,000
google site:net -- 9,390
google site:com -- 329,000
google site:edu -- 6,210
google -site:com -- about 239,000
It looks like it's at least worth fooling around with.
