I Think, Therefore I Am a Philosophy Search Engine
Noesis, at http://noesis.evansville.edu/bin/index.cgi , is a recently-revamped search engine covering philosophy. (It's in its beta of version 2.0.) The site allows you to either browse sub-categories having to do with philosophy ( The bulleted listings under "Subsections" -- Authors, Journals, etc. are hyperlinked but not underlined) or do a full-text search of their entire database. If you're looking for a particular item, you can restrict your search to certain kinds of documents (dictionaries, primary texts, published books, etc.) Searching for "transcendentalism" found 28 results. Searching for "meme" found 39 results. Looks like a good resource especially for a student.
