May 13, 2000Another Cemetery Finding Aid for You GenealogistsGenealogists out there might want to check out version six of the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid at http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/ . This database is more of an "index" than a direct source of information. Each result from a database search provides you with a surname, given name, county, township, reference number, and soundex code. There's a page on the Web site that explains all the reference numbers and where to write for more information. Genealogists with Canadian roots, worth a look. (There's also a British Columbia Cemetery Finding Aid here, but it's much smaller with just under 345,000 names.) Posted to Genealogy
