June 02, 2000Spell Check Your Searches Before You Submit Them
This is a smart idea, especially if you are searching for medical terms that you may easily misspell. SearchSpell caught hydrocefalus, hidrophobia, and aneemia. After you enter a word, it gives you its suggestions with a clickable hyperlink that takes you to dictionary.com's definition of the word. On the left side of the result screen are several prefilled search form, allowing you to continue your search without moving off the site. Still a little kludgy, a little slow-loading, still in beta. But a nice idea. Worth a look. Posted to Reference | TrackBack
