June 22, 2000Water We Want? PondInfo! When do We Want It? Now!If you're looking for information on water gardening, check out the new site PondInfo, ( http://www.pondinfo.com/ ) which describes itself as "a fun and informational forum where water gardening enthusiasts, manufacturers and industry professionals come together to share ideas, experiences and products related to every aspect of water gardening." The site is set up as a searchable subject index, but the subjects are on the left side and in a stack. They're not set up in a Yahoo-like, "stacked outline" format in the middle of the page. A page of results shows the name of the site, the physical location, and the URL. Clicking the URL takes you to the site (of course) but clicking on the site NAME takes you to a page of information about the site, including physical address, phone number, etc. There are some other materials on this site. There's a product review which looks useful, and several articles with varying degrees of usefulness. There's also a photo gallery if you want to share pictures of your water garden innovation. This site is a weird mix of information for beginner and expert. "Should my pond have a filter?" seems like a beginner question, but at the same time there's a product review for a lily feeder, which seems rather specific for a beginner. (Not that I know very much about water gardening.) There's plenty here, but you may have to sift around to bit to find what you're interested in. Posted to Entertainment-Hobbies | TrackBack
