Pandia Offers News Search Engine

Pandia has launched a new meta-search engine for news at at http://www.pandia.com/news/ . This site searches at least BBC, CNN, MSNBC, Yahoo, The Wall Street Journal and Moreover. I also see the Washington Post in the results.

Basic Boolean seems to work well for these searches, though the dates beside the search results don't work. It looks like those are the dates when the stories have gotten crawled, not the dates the stories were written. (Some dates -- especially for older stories--do seem to be correct, though.) Because of that, trying to sort the stories by date wouldn't work.

There seems to be some good stuff here, and it's worth a look.
