LOC Updates Online Ephemera Collection

The Library of Congress has updated An American Time Capsule: Three Centuries of Broadsides and Other Printed Ephemera. First released in 1998, the collection has had more than seven thousand additional items added to it. It's available at http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/rbpe html/ .

New items include the first broadside account of Washington crossing the Delaware in 1776, the final issue of the Vicksburg Daily Citizen from July 4, 1863 (printed on wallpaper!), a reward poster for John Wilkes Booth, and the National Woman Suffrage Association's "Declaration and Protest of the Women of the United States" from July 4, 1876. According to the site, the rest of the collection will be available online in late 2001.
