Water, Water Everywhere
The weather in your area getting you down? Looking for something above
freezing? How about visiting a hot springs? Don't know where one is? No
problem; visit
href="http://www.hotspringsenthusiast.com/HSSearch/SearchForm.asp">http://www
.hotspringsenthusiast.com/HSSearch/SearchForm.asp . (And that's the
longest and silliest lead ever, I think.) This site allows you to search by
state, general location, or spring name. You can search by just one of these
if you just want to "browse" the springs -- for example, you can list the
springs available in Colorado.
The list of results will give you a list of springs and where they're
listed. If you click on a spring name you get taken to Topozone for what I
would guess is a map -- unfortunately I got what looks like a JavaScript
error. At the bottom of the page for lists of state springs, however, is a
"View CO Hot Springs" link (substitute for CO whatever state you're browsing.)
Click on it and you'll get a list of hot springs in the state that have Web
sites or descriptive articles.
If you back up to the top of the site (
href="http://www.hotspringsenthusiast.com/Default.asp">http://www.hotspringse
nthusiast.com/Default.asp ) you'll find a variety of information,
including a browsable list of hot springs by state, a list of links to
information about hot springs outside the US, broken down by country, and a
related link list (build your own hot tub, lists of swimming holes in the US,
etc.) Worth a look.
