Christian Science Monitor To Be Scanned and Put Online

Bell & Howell's Information and Learning unit and The Christian Science Monitor have announced their intention to scan all of the CSM's back issues -- all the way back to 1908 -- and put them online through the ProQuest online information service. That's approximately one million pages of information. The archives will be released in segments of ten years each. The digitization is being done as part of Bell & Howell's ProQuest Historical Newspapers project.
