September 19, 2001Directory of School Libraries OnlineThere are plenty of resources for college and university libraries online, but it's not often that you'll find a resource for K-12 libraries. There is a great one at http://www.sldirectory.com/ The front page lists a variety of countries -- from Australia to Zimbabwe (the US is also included.) Pick a country and you'll get either a list of libraries (in the case of most countries) or a list of subcategories (such as for Canada and the United States.) Each listing has a linked name of the library and the location. In addition, the listings for each US state also contain links to related sites, including state pages relating to school libraries, resource sharing networks, and other sites (like associations of school librarians.) This site has had a tremendous amount of work put into it. Very well done. Worth a look. Posted to Reference-Libraries
