Global Potato News http://www.potatonews.com/ has a huge amount of information in it, most of which you can access using the navigation on the left side of the screen.

For the subject index, scroll down to Potato Directory and choose any one of the several categories underneath it, including biotechnology, breeding, and organic potatoes. Annotation is absolutely remarkable - very well done. Most of the sites are scientific/agriculture, though there are some links more relevant to the non-professional potato fan ("Potato Conquers the World," etc.)

The subject index is only one part of this site. There's also potato news from around the world, potato PR, market information, and conference and company information.

An apparently related site is Potato Research Online at http://www.potatoresearch.com/ . That site includes electronic forums and newsletters of interest to those doing potato research. Participating does require registration, but at the moment registration is free.
