September 27, 2001Lots and Lots of Sheet MusicIf you're hip to sheet music and riffs, you need http://www.8notes.com/default.asp . This site features free sheet music and lessons for several different instruments, including guitar, piano, trumpet, and flute. There are also pieces and riffs arranged by category (classical, popular, world, etc.) Riffs are arranged on a detail page with a Flash bit that plays the audio. The pieces have sheet music that pops up in a window along with MIDI files so you know what it's supposed to sound like. As if this weren't enough, this site also has a directory of over 1000 music-related sites, a forum, and a free newsletter. Lots of work went into this. Worth a look for the music lover!
