So Was That Movie Any Good or What?

Wondering about a particular movie? Check out the Movie Review Query Engine at http://www.mrqe.com/ . This site indexes over 200,000 reviews from a variety of places.

Searching for "Pippi Longstocking" brought up two titles, one with 4 reviews and one with 12. Clicking on a movie title brings up a list of hyperlinked reviews. Some of them have the ratings available on this page, some of them have the name of the reviewer, and some of them denote whether or not the review page requires registration (the New York Times, etc.)

If you're not interested in a general search, you have a couple other options. One is an advanced search offering Boolean options (get that at http://www.mrqe.com/complex-queries.html ) and another, located right under the query box on the front page, is a pulldown list of precompiled lists, including the most popular queries (for several time spans), the Academy Awards, etc. Nicely done. Worth a look.
