Ancestry and RootsWeb.com Combine Databases

Ancestry.com and RootsWeb.com have combined their family tree databases to create one large database of family trees -- over 160 million names at this point, with an expected count of 250 million names by the end of 2002.

The two separate databases have been created by user contributions over a period of years. The combined databases are searcahble via Ancestry.com or via RootsWeb at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/ .
