October 10, 2001AquaPlantsNeed a plant for your fish tank? Check out AquaPlant at http://www.aquaplant.org/ . This site gives you several different options, from the simple to the complicated, for finding water plants. I chose the most basic search, tank search, because I know nothing about water plants. This search allows you to specify information about your tank as well as information about the plant you want (growth rate, size, etc.) Once you've entered the specifications, you'll get a page of plant listings. Information includes plant name, size, light, and a link to a picture. Click on the name of the plant and you'll be taken off-site to a page of information about the site. Since AquaPlant links to several different sites, the information provided is not consistent (and sometimes it's not in English, either.) Still, a remarkable about of information here for the plant nerd. Worth a look. Posted to Science-Oceanography
