Halloween is coming. If you're in the mood, get an early fright at HorrorFind http://www.horrorfind.com/ , a searchable subject index for pages related to horror.

The categories include Horror on TV, Haunted Houses (these appear to be staged "scare you" type haunted houses, and not houses which are believed to be inhabited by a ghost. Ghostly houses are listed under haunted places), stories, graveyards, and zombies. There are over 5100 sites listed here.

I don't normally talk about a site's "ambiance" but it seems to me that you could approach a topic like this completely seriously or you could get silly. HorrorFind edges toward the latter, but I suppose it can't be helped with some of the pages listed (The I Love Zombies Page?) Sites are for the most part sketchily annotated though occasionally you'll get one that's thoroughly written up.

Despite the fact that a lot of this site is written tongue in cheek, this isn't a site for little kids -- it's too scary.
