October 29, 2001Port of Los Angeles Adds Historical SiteThe Port of Los Angeles has created a historical information site at http://www.laporthistory.org/ . First of all, make sure you have your images turned on or you won't be able to make head nor tail of this front page. Subsequent pages are better. The site is set up like a virtual tour, covering four different historical facilities. Information includes articles, pictures, 360 degree viewscapes, and videos. The articles are multi-paged, but don't forget to check out the left side of the page for information on the people, products, and trends for each historical facility. This site also includes a general history of the Port, and a search engine. There's an archive link but it won't be active until "later this summer." Worth a look. Posted to US-California
