Election Reform Information Project Plans Database

The Pew Charitable Trusts has made a three-year, $3.5 million grant to the University of Richmond for the establishment of an Election Reform Information Project.

There is already a Web site available at http://electionline.org . Information includes pointers to news about election reforms around the country, an overview of what election reforms were put in place before yesterday's elections that we held in some areas, and data about election reform laws.

I talked to Doug Chapin, who informs me that even more materials are in store, including an election administration database with information about who's responsible for elections on a voting level, as well as data on voting equipment, voter participation, and more. This addition is expected by January 2002.

Keep your eye on this one. It'll get more interesting as the 2002 elections get closer. Worth a look.
