Directory of Japan-Related Sites Linked

A directory of Japan-related sites has launched at http://japan.co.jp/top.php. Currently the site contains almost 85,000 links in 15 categories (mostly in English but in some other European and Asian languages as well.)

The site is in searchable subject index format, with categories on the front page ranging from Art to Travel. Many subcategories (and subsubcategories) are available beyond those seen on the front page. (Unfortunately there is no site count next to the subcategory name, so you don't have any idea of how many resources you're going to get once you get there.) Annotation varies from sketchy to thorough.

The site does not charge for listing consideration but does require that the site seeking listing be Japan-related and to have content in a language besides Japanese. With that in mind I'd like to see more effort made to denote the language that different sites are actually in so you don't waste time surfing to a site you can't read. Plenty of links here, though. Worth a look.
