December 12, 2001Forestry For the TreesForestry Index ( http://www.forestryindex.net/) is a searchable subject index of resources related to forestry. Categories include conservation education, tree identification, and urban forestry. Each category groups its well-annotated resources in groups of ten. WARNING: The "Next ten" link is at the *extreme* bottom of the page, underneath even the search engine. It might be better if it were put on one of the blue bars like Yahoo does -- if it was on the bottom and top blue bar, justified right, it'd be real easy to see. If you're not having much luck with the site's search engine, there's a drop-down menu with coded keywords on the top right of the front page -- from aesthetics to wood products and recycling. And if you don't want to browse the resource list online, the site is available as a free, 150-page PDF. (The PDF is not complete, though; the site was last updated 9 November at this writing, and the PDF is dated April 2001.) Posted to Science-Forestry
