NOVA Online Offers Teacher Resources

NOVA Online now has over 500 resources for teachers on its site at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/teachers/. The site has a searchable database or viewers can browse the keyword list or the list or program titles. Some of the listed programs have accompanying activities, either printed (the printable activities I saw were available both as PDF and HTML files) or online (some are HTML/JavaScript quizzes, while some require Shockwave) and in some cases both. Many of the Shockwave-based activities are downloadable to be played as stand-alone applications.

Searches can also be narrowed to program contents, printable activities, online activities, teachers' ideas or Web site overviews. Additional teaching resources include Teacher's Guide and Featured Teachers. Anybody who teaches kids (or who likes the NOVA series) will enjoy this site.
