Tough Eggs and Gun Molls -- Detective Listings

If you're into that yummy pulp goodness, you'll like Thrilling Detective ( http://www.thrillingdetective.com/), a site devoted to -- you guessed it! Detectives! This site has a lot of detective-oriented resources but of particular interest is the alphabetical list of detectives.

The site has a two-page list of fictional "private eyes and other tough guys" -- A-L and M-Z. I immediately looked up the only detective I know anything about -- Kip Morgan. He was listed, but didn't have his own page. (Wait a minute. I do know about another detective from one of my favorite series when I was younger -- Kim Aldrich! But she's not listed here.) Many of those listed do have their own page, though, including Lew Archer, Encyclopedia Brown (!!), Sam Spade, and Nero Wolfe.

Information about each listing varies, but information I saw includes pictures (from pulp covers and TV stills), extensive descriptions, trivia, film/tv/publication credits, notes on the creator, web links, etc.

Besides the list of detective links, there's plenty of other material on this site, including a list of detective films (most of the films have their own page, with information including production details and plot) TV series (as much information as with the detectives -- the Mannix page has tons of information!) radio/audio, comics, and trivia. There's also a rather short but well-annotated link list of mystery resources. This site is a lot of fun to explore. Worth a look!
