Find That Radio Station

If you're looking for radio stations, http://www.radio-locator.com/ is a nifty tool, and unlike most media- finding tools online, isn't restricted to just online or offline sources.

The front page of the site is actually several, several, several query boxes in one. There's a box for finding radio stations in the US (searchable by city/state, AM or FM or both, format, or call letters), finding streaming radio online (searchable by format only) or finding international radio online (searchable by country.) Additionally, there are several specialty pages that let you browse by format, state, Canadian province, etc.

Search results are presented in a table with an information icon, call sign, frequency, city, school (if applicable) and format. There's another small icon that appears on the result if streaming audio from that station is available on the Internet.

Click on the information icon and you'll get plenty of information about the station, including its status, class, hours of operation, antenna mode and pattern, transmitter location, and owner. There are also pointers to Web page and audio feed if they're available.
