Opera Launches New Browser and Composer

Opera has released version 5.12 of its Opera Browser at http://www.opera.com/download/ . This new version includes several bug fixes and an "enhanced popup-window killer feature," though all I could find related to that was a setting that prohibits documents from spawning new windows (you'll find that under File/Preferences/Windows -- it's one of the checkboxes under Document Windows.)

Opera has also released the Opera Composer, which lets users create and distribute customized versions of Opera. Users can add special buttons to the user interface, skin personalized images for the toolbar and background, personalize the browser name, create their own splash screen, customize the Hotlist (bookmarks), and set their own start page.
