Swim Swim Swim -- Or Learn How to Swim

Summer's here, and you know what that means! (Hurricane season?) Yes, but something else. (Air so humid you have to chew it?) Yes, but something else... SWIMMING! And if you don't know how to swim maybe it's time to learn. http://www.swimlessons.com/ lets people in the US, Australia, and the UK search for swimming instructors by postal code. (You can also browse if you like. Look for the browse box below the post code search box.)

I did a couple of test searches. Searching for "90210" found eleven swimming instructors listed and over fifty swimming schools. Clicking on a private instructor provides their gender, location, lesson cost, and an "instructor statement." There's also information on what levels of swimming are taught and to what age levels, and if any special needs are accommodated. Another section of the page notes any certifications the instructors have, their years of experience, and the languages they speak. Finally, the bottom of the page notes what months of the year they're available and what times of the day during different days of the week.

I searched the UK listings for lessons in Gloucester and found four swimming schools. The school detail page has places for school physical and mailing address, phone number. Web site address, year founded, and number of instructors. There's a place for a description of the programs they offer, the cost, and how to sign up, but I didn't see that information completed for any of the Gloucester schools I looked at.

In addition to swimming lessons, this site also offers an aquatic jobs listing (browsable and searchable by post code) a swimming pool listing (browsable and searchable ditto) and a listing of swim teams.
