March 19, 2002Summer Camp Directory OnlineIt's that time of year again! Time to start thinking about summer camp. The American Camping Association has a database available of over 2,000 accredited summer camps at http://search.acacamps.org/ . There are tons of search options in this search; options include camp type (youth or adult), state, region, philosophy, affiliation, session length, and cost. (All these options are pull-down menus.) You can mix and match these options when building your search; finding camps in New York for children with spina bifida found two results. Camp information includes year of establishment, director name, session length, youth ages, activities, fee categories, and contact information. All the camps I saw also had e-mail addresses and Web addresses. If your kid is looking for a camp this summer, this is a good place to look. Posted to World-Travel-US | TrackBack
