April 03, 20021930 Census Begins Its Trek OnlineAncestry.com has begun the process of putting the 1930 census online. Already available is the census for Delaware; Ancestry.com estimates that the entire census -- all 2,667 rolls of microfilm -- will be digitized and available online within 90 days. Ancestry.com has some background on the census itself. http://www.ancestry.com/landing/censusdetails.html provides information on what questions are answered. The Census is not free; a subscription to just census images is $69.95 for an annual subscription and $24.95 for a quarterly subscription. This includes all census images from 1790 to 1930.
