Reader Request -- Quote Source

Reader CB is looking for some help with a quote: "I'm looking for the source of a quote:

"When you come to a fork in the road, pick it up"

Almost everything I've seen attributes this to Yogi Berra but his quote was actually "When you come to a fork in the road, take it".

I found one mention of my quote as coming from an old vaudeville routine in which case the source may be long lost. Can anyone recommend a site to search further? I've tried various invisible web sites to find something on vaudeville but there isn't much. I also tried various quotation sources with no luck."
