May 15, 2002Anthropology Resources On the InternetThis site has just moved, and doesn't provide the traditional basic look of a subject index, but there's plenty to see here. The site, at http://www.anthropologie.net , offers its topics at the bottom of the screen: journals, methods, jobs, anthropology, university departments, institutions, Web directories, and archaeology. Choose a topic. It doesn't matter which one because apparently they all take you to the same page/table of contents, which contains subcategories including geographically-based university departments, several institution subcategories, and linguistics. There are about 1800 resources in this directory according to the frequently-asked-questions. I would have liked to see more annotation (it's minimal, except for the Web rings page), maybe a little space between the listings (especially considering the white text on a red background), and a search engine. Worth a look. Posted to Science-Anthropology
