Beer Festivals

I don't drink beer, but if you do you might find this site interesting. Beerfestivals.org ( http://www.beerfestivals.org ) covers more than 300 beer festivals around the world in addition to other beer-related content.

From the front page pick a month. You'll get a list of festivals for that month which include name (often hyperlinked to a site; who knew there were so many beer festival sites?), location, sponsor, and highlights. Some festival listings have small beer mug icons next to them; click on those and you'll get a review. (There's also a page that lists just the reviewed festivals if that's what you're interested in.)

Aside from the festival listing, the most extensive part of this site Paul Ruschmann's Beer Traveller Series, wherein Mr. Ruschmann travels around the world and drinks beer. (This is more interesting than it sounds. Mr. Ruschmann also addresses other beer topics, like strange beer laws and the top beer- drinking cities.) There are also brief lists of beer sites and book
reviews.
