Who's Who Coming to Cyberspace

Marquis Who's Who announced yesterday has announced its intention to make its database of over a million biographies available online at http://www.marquiswhoswho.com . (Currently that site contains information about the various Marquis titles.)

There will be two ways to search content: a simple name search, and an advanced search which will allow users to search by over a dozen different variables including age, gender, occupation, and political affiliation. The content of the database will be updated daily.

Unfortunately there's not much information available on pricing, with the press release saying only "We expect to offer annual access to Marquis on the Web for less than $1,000 per single user, with significant discounts for school and multi-user licenses."
