September 26, 2002Mozilla Rolls Out A Couple New BarrelsInternet browser maker Mozilla ( http://www.mozilla.org ) has issued a couple of new releases. First is the alpha of Mozilla 1.2, and update of their main browser product. The Mozilla 1.2 Alpha is available at http://www.mozilla.org/releases/ . New features of this version include a couple of bug fixes, a "type ahead" feature (more information on that at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/ui/accessibility/typeaheadfind.html A> ), and improved keyboard access. Also new is Phoenix 0.1. Phoenix is apparently a leaner, faster browser than Mozilla, with features including a customizable toolbar, and an overhauled bookmarks manager. Phoenix is an 0.1 release. If you have any qualms about downloading potentially buggy or unstable software, don't download this. You can learn more about Phoenix at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/phoenix/phoenix-release-notes.html . Posted to Internet-Technology-Browsers
