SAPLING for Building Information

SAPLING stands for Sapling, the Architecture, Planning & Landscape INformation Gateway, and you can get to it at http://www.sapling.org.uk/ .

As you might imagine from the acronym, this site contains a lot of different information. From the front page (well, after the splash page, anyway) there are links organized in several different categories, including architecture, construction, heritage, housing, landscape, and planning. (According to the site there are over 700 links here.) Annotation is really extensive, though you might be a little confused initially by the category pages; Moreover headlines are listed first. New additions are listed on the left side of the page.

In addition to the link list, this site also has links for general information resources (like news and reference), a message board, and a real-time chat section. The front page features books of the month.
