Google Poetry And BuzzToolbox.com

Continuing with the fun Google applications is GooPoetry at http://www.buzz toolbox.com/google/goopoetry.shtml . GooPoetry lets you enter a query (any query you'd use with regular Google, with the exception of the phonebook: and stock: searches), and choose a "flavor" (hippie, Shakespeare, beatnik, Swedish Chef, or none).

GooPoetry will run a search, take the titles of the returned pages, and make you a lovely poem. (Or make you a really bizarre word salad.) Here's a paean to pinwheels, rendered in Swedish Chef:

In other news, some people have e-mailed me asking about BuzzToolbox.com, the place I'm putting these programs. What is it? Am I exploiting my core competencies with a focus on expanding my brand awareness matrix or whatever? Alas, it's much more prosaic than that; my longtime Web host doesn't support a Perl module that the Google API requires, so I found a home for the API programs on another host that does. I'll announce more programs over time.
