The Waldren Studios Feature Nova Scotia Photographs

The Waldren Studios, at http://www.library.da l.ca/archives/waldren/ , feature photographs taken in Nova Scotia between 1870 and 1940. The collection consists of about 35,000 images on glass plate and film negatives.

Search by title, subject, description, location or keyword. Note that searching apparently matches on fuzzy terms as well as exact -- searching for night found knight, etc. (You can browse by location if you don't want to search.) Information with photograph includes title, size, date and format. It also lists the subject area, description and location. Each result also links to a 400dpi much larger version of the photograph.
