New Software Products

There are plenty of places where you can find directories of software, but where can you find directories of new or recent software? One place is the searchable subject index New Software Products ( http://www.newsoftwareproducts.com/ ). Developers who have released software within the last six months are invited to submit additions to this site.

The site is laid out by subject -- in fact at the moment there are more categories than links (174 vs 118, according to the front page of the site.) Since people are usually very focused when searching for software, I think all the categories are appropriate. Categories include business, games, and Internet. Annotations for software items are for the most part good. Visitors can provide ratings for items, though most of the items I looked at were not rated.
