December 18, 2002Yahoo Releases Archive of AP News DocumentsYahoo has released an archive of almost a million Associated Press (AP) articles going back to 1998. The archives can be found by searching Yahoo's News site ( ). This is not a free database, however. Articles will cost $1.50 each. Like pay articles from the New York Times, AP's premium articles will be marked with a $ icon in the news search results. When you select a premium article, you'll see information about the article (source, date, word count, author), and the first paragraph or so of the article. To purchase the article you'll need to sign in with Yahoo and pay with a credit card. If you're looking for something recent, don't fret - - the last 15 days of the AP archive are still free on the Yahoo Daily News site, as are resources from dozens of other sources.
