Project Gathering Papers of Abraham Lincoln

The Papers of Abraham Lincoln
( http://www.papersofabrahamlincoln.org ) is a project seeking to identify, gather images of, and publish documents written either by or to Abraham Lincoln. <\p>

The Web site doesn't have any published documents yet (and it's not clear when that's going to happen), but there are some things here. There's an description of the project, some back issues of two newsletters related to Lincoln, and a really extensive chronology and bibliography.

There's also a couple of educational documents ("The Lincoln Legal Papers Curriculum: Understanding Illinois Social History Through Documents from the Law Practice of Abraham Lincoln, 1836-1861" is a series of PDF documents and good reading for American history teachers) and some information on how you can help with this project. Sounds like it's going to be an extremely extensive but useful project. I can't wait to see their digitization. Worth a look.
