Reader Response -- Mold Litigation

Last week reader MF asked, "I am wondering if you have any good suggestions for keeping abreast of "mold" related claims and litigation across the country. What new suits are being filed, what suits are being decided or appealed???"

Several readers responded. Reader KP said, "Suggestion for information: Local Law Library. This is a hot topic. There is currently an article in volume 85 of "American Jurisprudence Trials." Article is called "Residential Mold as a Toxic Tort Under Homeowners Policy," by Catherine C. Palo, J.D."

I also recently ordered an audiocassette tape set from a program done in California (California Continuing Education of the Bar or CEB) called "Toxic Mold Claims: The New Asbestos?" The set includes program material that has some nice information, including web sites."

Reader KF notes there's a whole forum dedicated to mold at http://www.contractorresource.com/forums/ , and also recommends an article from the Journal of Light Construction at http://www.jlconline.com/jlcupdate/0301/1.html and an article about "mold scammers" at http://www.contractorresource.com/articles/miscellaneous/mold_scams.shtml .

Reader CL recommended the Mold Conference ( http://www.naiop.org/moldconference/ ) as well as "The Mold Source" at http://www.themoldsource.com/starter.html . Finally, reader DR suggested http://www.toxic-mold-news.com/ . Thanks to everyone for their responses!
