Universities in the US

I haven't covered a higher education directory in a long time and this looks like a good one. US Universities ( http://www.usuniversities.com/ ) allows you to find colleges and universities in the United States by state or degree program (or state AND degree program, which gives you a much more manageable number of results.)

There are several things on the front page of this site, so let me direct you to the database search page at http://www.usuniversities.com/search.cfm . Here you can
begin your search by searching by state or degree program. States include the fifty states and DC; degree programs range from Accounting to Zoology and Wildlife Services. If you search by degree you'll get the option on the result page to narrow by state and vice versa.

You'll also get a list of universities and the beginning of a description. Click on the name of the university and you'll get additional information for the university, including full contact information (in most of the cases I looked at), and a thorough description of the university and what it offers. There's also a form you can use to contact the university.

There are also several other offerings on this site, including embassies (both American embassies abroad and embassies in the US), scholarship search, and student loan search. Browsable.
