Hong Kong Movie Database

If the Internet Movie Database doesn't quite do it for you, check out the Hong Kong Movie Database at http://www.hkmdb.com/ . As you might guess, it's a site devoted to information on Hong Kong movies.

It's set up a lot like the Internet Movie Database. At the top of the main page you can search for movie or actor names. What's available for each varies. A search on the wonderful "Drunken Tai Chi" found the country, the theatrical run dates, and box office take, and a cast list. A link on the left side of the screen allows for a link to the complete cast which includes production manager and distributor. There were links for reviews, images, and links, but for this particular production there were only reviews.

Actor information varies also. For someone very popular like Jackie Chan, there's considerable: his name and aliases (including birth name), list of films (over 40 years' worth!), director, producer, and writer credits. On the left side of the screen there's a link to biographical information and a brief gallery of images.
