USGA Unveils Database of Amateur Golf Tournaments

The United States Golf Association has launched a database of over 3000 amateur tournaments. It's available at http://www.usga.org/DATG/index.asp .

You can search by types of tournaments (boys', girls', men's, women's, the disabled, etc.) location (by state in the US, by country outside the US) and by month. A search for all tournaments in Arizona in September found seven results. Search results include the type of tournament and the name and date of the tournament (sometimes the date hasn't been set yet.)

Click on the name of the tournament and you'll get a lot of additional information, including the city and the course, a contact name and address, web site, age limit, handicap limit, and a space for additional notes.
