March 18, 2003Books In Print Offers Children's Book Information
Once you've logged in (this is a pay service) pick the Children's Room. There you'll have the opportunity to search in several different ways. You can search by keywords in several fields (title, subject, publisher, where it was reviewed, etc.) or by several parameters, including publication year, price range, status (in print, out of print, or forthcoming) and age. Note that this search covers both fiction and non-fiction books. You can also browse by subject matter -- over 1,500 subjects are available. A search for "heron" found 64 results. Search results include title, author, ISBN or UPC, format, date, and price. Icons indicate when reviews, synopsis, or stock information are available. Clicking on the title provides much detail, including any contributors, pages, age range, audience, and (if available) reviews or synopsis. As I mentioned, this is a pay service. I can't find pricing information on the site, but the site does offer both a free trial and a number to call to get pricing quotes. Posted to Humanities-Literature | TrackBack
