March 01, 2003Early Maps of Japan
There are three ways you can view the maps. You can use a Java client, a regular interface that will work with most typical browsers, and a GIS browser. I used the regular one to browse the contents of this collection. The regular browser popped up a new, framed window with several frames and the thumbnails from the map collection. Double-click on the thumbnail for yet another popup window with a closer view on the map. From that window you can zoom in and out on the map, pan over it, print it, or get image details. Some gorgeous maps here. Posted to Countries-Japan | TrackBack
