Election Sites from the LOC

The Library of Congress has created the Election 2002 Web Archive, a collection of almost 4,000 sites archived between July 1, 2002 and November 30, 2002. It's available at http://www.loc.gov/minerva/collect/elec2002/ .

This site is extremely browsable. Once you've entered, you'll have the option of viewing by office (Governor, House, Senate), party, state, or candidate name. Picking Maine gave me a list of candidates for governor, house, and senate. Clicking on the name of Candidate Tom Allen gave me a page of information about his Web site (including title, abstract, active URL, and subjects) and a link to the archived site. Clicking on the archived site link, I found 199 archived pages stretching from July to November.
