Directory of Outdoor Drama This Summer...

.. and I'm not talking about when your Uncle Servo fights with Uncle Crow about who gets to run the gas grill. No! I'm talking about 118 outdoor theatres in 37 states.

The University of North Carolina has put together the "Directory of Outdoor Drama in America," located at http://www.unc.edu/depts/outdoor/dir/. The front page of the site contains a map of the US with included states in blue. Click on a state. I clicked on Missouri.

You'll get an outline of the state and numbers where the festivals are. Missouri has three festivals. Festival listings include a Web link if available, dates and summary of the show, and offline contact information. Free shows are noted in a bold listing at the bottom. Most of the time there's also an illustration that looks like a show poster. Could come in handy for vacation planning.
