June 04, 2003Yahoo Quietly Adds An RSS FeedIf you read the above item, you might have thought, that this was just another Yahoo feature that Newsisfree is scraping. Well, they're not scraping *this* Yahoo page. After an aborted experiment with RSS feeds in Yahoo Finance ( http://www.researchbuzz.com/news/2002/sep19sep2502.shtml), RSS has quietly popped up over at Ask Yahoo. The feed URL is at http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/index.xml. It's RSS 0.91, for the geeks out there. A little further poking around reveals a now-defunct RSS beta directory in Yahoo's travel section ( http://tinyurl.com/dfty), but no additional evidence of RSS activity. I must confess I'm a bit puzzled by that. RSS feeds are popping up everywhere. What's taking Yahoo (and Google, and AltaVista, and AlltheWeb) so long? Posted to Search Engines-Yahoo
