Archive of Canadian Newspapers During WWII Released

The Canadian War Museum has released Democracy at War: Canadian Newspapers and the Second World War. The site features more than 144,000 articles from the Hamilton Spectator and is available at http://www.warmuseum.ca/cwm/newspapers/index.html .

You may search the site by keyword (limiting the search to headline, subject, or category) or browse the site. To browse the site look at the tabs across the top of the page. The "Operations" tab in particular has several sections and provides overviews and article links for several different parts of the war.

A all-area keyword search for "infantry brigade" found 855 results. Search results include headline, paper, date, subjects, and categories. Click on the headline for a PDF version of the article. The articles are in some cases a little hard to read, but not impossible.
